Through guided imagery and meditation you will deepen your inner journey and evoke images from your inner world. As you sculpt, paint, and decorate your own image in your personal plaster mask, you involve the senses and intellects of your body, mind, and spirit and come to a deeper understanding of yourself. You will discover how your creative process mirrors your process of interacting with the world, and how it overflows into every aspect of your life.

Taking Steps Toward a Healthier Life.
As of June 1, 2008, Grand Targhee Resort, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and Snow King Resort will all be establishing smokefree policies resort-wide! Thank you to all of the coalition members who have participated in this effort! These new policies will prohibit cigarette smoking in all indoor and outdoor areas with the exception of a few designated smoking areas which will be located outdoors, appropriately away from open doors and windows.
The Tri-Resorts' commitment to health marks a "first" nationally on a number of fronts. No other large US ski resorts have passed such comprehensive smokefree policies voluntarily. Rather, most resorts which are smokefree in the US are smokefree because they fall under the jurisdiction of local or statewide smokefree ordinances, which generally do not protect outdoor air. Furthermore, all research suggests that only one other US resort is smokefree resort-wide (as opposed to just in chairlifts and liftlines) and that is Snowmass, which falls under the jurisdiction of Snowmass Village's smokefree ordinance.
This bold move on the part of the three Resorts to protect the health of their staff and customers truly demonstrates that smokefree is the desired norm in our community. Furthermore, to honor the Resorts' dedication to wellness, upon implementation of the smokefree policy, two local businesses (One to One Wellness and WILSON ACUPUNCTURE AND HEALING ARTS) will be offering generous discounts to the staff of all three resorts to encourage staff to personally commit to their own wellness and/or tobacco cessation.

GRAND OPENING A HUGE SUCCESS! Thank You Jackson Hole.
On Thursday February 7, 2008 we held our Grand Opening in conjunction with Chinese New Year to provide a day of community healing for free. The prior six weeks involved a lot of sweat and love from several dozen volunteers and businesses who came to help paint, put up walls, pictures, move endless loads from storage, home and other clinics and perform healings for the actual space. Although we have more to complete, we were ready to begin treating patients. Our goal was to introduce an affordable method of Chinese Medicine treatment which is done in a community group setting.
The day began as just another windy snowy storm day in the Tetons. Storms are a way of life here, especially this year and bring us the great playful all important substance known as Powder. This year is an exceptional year for endless fluff. The Clinic opened at 9 with eighteen people in attendance for our first Qigong class in this beautiful healing space. By 10:30, treatments began community style on tables, chairs, settees and massage chairs. The steady flow of visitors and patients never stopped. Outside our window was this dancing swirling world of white wind and snow that performed at intensity as no other day has. It was like watching a movie from the comforts of your home…. and people just kept coming. The stories came with them: Roads began to close; Moose were running down the highway near the clinic, a Start bus was blown off the road, plows could not keep up, Teton Pass was closed, now the road to the airport was closed, and then the Teton Village road from our business to the resort shut down. Wyoming folks are tough and determined to go for what they want. People kept coming by foot and by bus. The award for effort goes to Public Health Nurse Sandra Goodson, who skied form the Stillson parking lot in the dark. Kathi Clark came the furthest from Georgia. Over 30 phone calls came in to express regret at not being able to attend due to the fierce and unsafe road travel.
When all was said and done during the biggest blizzard all season, Tamara Clauson, Angela Tong and I had treated 57 people in 9 hours. Over 100 people had stopped in to wish us well and see what we were about. All ages, all types of complaints of pain, disease and stress were relieved that day.
The success of this Open House on such a challenging travel day demonstrates that affordable Chinese medicine is indeed a need. We are pleased to introduce the first community acupuncture clinic in Wyoming on Tuesdays and Thursdays 5-7pm. This is a drop-in clinic, 30 minutes, focused on one complaint. Cost is $30-45 the patient decides.
Once again thank you residents of the Tetons for showing such overwhelming support and interest. We are here for you!
