qigong

Qigong is pronounced “chee-gung” and translates as “skillful energy movement”. It is thought to be over 5000 years old. The principles are derived from Daoism and is the foundation for Traditional Chinese Medicine and Tai Chi. It is practiced by over 200 million people around the world.

Qigong is an exercise system that combines slow fluid movement with deep breathing. It can be modified for all abilities, even someone who is bedridden. The movements direct the flow of qi (chee) throughout the body to improve vitality.

Regular practice strengthens overall health and immunity. It is known to lessen many symptoms of diseases and will sometimes eliminate them. It is very effective for chronic conditions and painful symptoms.

Regular practice lowers blood pressure, decreases anxiety, shortens postoperative recovery time, prevents and decreases arthritis pain and stiffness, and increases energy and productivity. It can have lasting benefits if done every morning and evening for as little as 10 minutes...
